HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM LONDON!
Most of you in the states must be a few hours away from the New Year but I hope it’s lovely and wonderful when it arrives. Seeing the fireworks at midnight in London was amazing! I wish I could celebrate it here every year.

Snowy day
The entire day was straight out of a postcard. I don’t think I ever saw a city look so white. Even the sky was white, creating this very ethereal scene. I find it all quite lovely.
Now the snow is melting and I’m still anxious about my trip. I think I’ll be leaving as scheduled. I heard public transportation in New York is absolute madness. I bet it’s all really pretty...

Snowy day

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year! I can’t believe it’s almost over. Chileans celebrate on Christmas Eve, or La Noche Buena, with a big dinner and then presents at midnight. Let me tell you, staying up to midnight as a kid was rough, but it was half the fun! It feels nice to be in my parent’s home in North Carolina, specifically because I love their backyard. It’s lovely to be able to sit by the fire, to lounge around in spaces larger than 400 sq. ft and to actually see the stars. But life here is a bit dull and I already really do miss New York City.

These shots were taken last night as my friends and I reveled in my last night in New York City before I headed to North Carolina to visit my parents for the holidays. There were so many pretty city lights that I couldn’t resist taking them as bokeh.

First snow in NYC
To call it NYC’s “first snow” is a gross overstatement, especially considering all the snow all the other states (including where my parents live in North Carolina) are getting. BUT it was nice seeing a little bit of snow hit the pavement in NYC.
