Central Park covered in snow
So these aren’t from Wednesday night’s snow storm, but rather from a few weeks ago when Lindsey (pictured at the bottom) and I went to see Alan Rickman. It was a ridiculously gorgeous day and a wonderful send-off for Lindsey. I particularly like the sunbursts. All photos taken with my Pentax K1000 and Kodak Portra 160VC.

Interpreting Beauty - the beginning
interpretationsofbeauty: Whether we see it or not, Beauty is part of our lives. There is the Beauty of the sky in autumn, of the dog chasing its tail and the sound of rain over a tin roof. Perhaps you see it far away, perhaps you have it on your lap. It is there. Here. Ten photographers and one illustrator have gathered to interpret Beauty the way they see it, prompted by the same thought, a...

From my snowy window
So by the time I ventured out into the snow almost all of it had melted into a big pile of slushy black ice—not exactly a winter wonderland. Perhaps tomorrow I’ll attempt to wake up earlier, hit up the NYU campus for some photos and then proceed to read read read for class. Until then, here are some more shots of the snow from my window.  All photos taken with my Canon EOS Rebel XSi.

My first snow day!
This Florida girl has gotten her first NYC snow day. NYU has closed classes for today so I’m going try to venture out and take some pictures. Wish me luck!

The Tate Modern and its views
Today is the first day of classes for a new semester! While I’m excited (and slightly recovering from a cold, bleck), I’m really just longing to be in London again, in front of the Tate Modern about to go see a new exhibit with a fresh baked savory pie in my hands from Borough Market. Sigh. One day again. All photos taken on my Pentax K1000 with Portra 400VC.

Here’s a shot of the Tower of London, which was literally a five-minute walk from where I was staying (thanks to the lovely lindseycathryn for the recommendation). Isn’t it spooky at night? Photo taken with my Canon EOS Rebel XSi.

Borough Market
Borough Market is perhaps the best market that has ever existed. So much delicious food! Free samples! I couldn’t stop taking pictures of all the stands. I really wish NYC had something like this—I’d be there every weekend. I know some cool folks tried to do it this summer with the New Amsterdam Market, but it just doesn’t compare to the awesomeness of Borough Market. Maybe...

Best weekend ever!
Not only did I finally get to meet the fabulous lindseycathryn (the blonde in the photos), but she and I got to meet the stars of BAM’s latest show John Gabriel Borkman, ALAN RICKMAN, FIONA SHAW and LINDSAY DUNCAN! Meeting Lindsey this weekend was just as awesome as I had imagined. I had no idea she’d be just as cool in person as she is online. AND we got to meet ALAN RICKMAN, whom we...
