The two people I love the most. It’s been so great spending time with them. A bit bummed I have to leave tomorrow.

A slice of Durham.

Back in September I went home for my Birthday/Labor Day weekend and got tons of shots of everyday life in Durham. Now that I’m going home for Thanksgiving, I’m excited to shoot some more. I think it’s interesting to shoot a place you’ve been a million times. It allows you to get creative and to try to see things different.

Taken on with my Pentax K1000 on Portra 160NC.

From my last trip to the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens. Perhaps the coolest museum ever made. I’m going tonight to see Martha, Marcy, May, Marlene there tonight. Elizabeth Olsen and John Hawkes, who star in the film, are both going to be there. So excited!

If you guys ever find yourself in Astoria, Queens, definitely check out the Museum. Right across the street is the Kaufman Studios where many popular TV shows are filmed.

Continuing the HP love-a-thon by making some delicious Butterbeer and drinking it out of my Butterbeer mug.
Recipe for deliciousness (makes about 4 cups): 4 cups Vanilla ice cream 4 cups cream soda 1/4 cup Butterscotch syrup
Mix all together in a blender. Pour in a frosted cup and enjoy!

"No story lives unless someone wants to listen. So thank you, all of you. Thank you for queuing for the books all those years. Thank you for camping out in a wet Trafalgar Square…The stories we love best do live in us forever, so whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

JK Rowling at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.

No, thank you, JK Rowling, you literary goddess. I am now a big emotional ball of distress after seeing all the speeches.

"What is death to an artist? An artist lives in his work and his work lives on after him. If it’s good enough."
