Glenn Ligon’s (untitled) Negro Sunshine.
I went to the Whitney Museum on Friday to see Glenn Ligon’s exhibit, America. It was so thought-provoking! Ligon is a black Brooklyn-based artist and most of his art deals with African-American issues, such as his work (untitled) I feel most colored when I’m thrown against a sharp white background which replicates those same words over and over on a white canvas.
We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside the museum so I took this photo of one of his works, (untitled) Negro Sunshine, displayed on the outside window.
